Why are my clips facing upside down?!
Since most clip-in extensions on the market today are produced with the clips pointing downward, we receive a TON of questions and concerns that the clips are sewn on wrong.
Locks & Mane clip-in extensions are designed with the clips pointing upwards to ensure a tease-free all day hold. By scooping the clips against the growth of your hair and snapping closed, your wefts are held more securely without needing to backcomb and the clips lay completely flat against your scalp.
Why are there only 2-4 wefts?
Locks & Mane clip-ins were created with comfort and ease in mind for all wearers. This is why our clip-in extensions are made with quick-to-apply wefts that more effectively distribute the extension weight for all-day comfort and secure hold.
What type of hair are the extensions made from?
Locks & Mane is proud to offer 100% Remy hair extensions that can be cut, colored, washed, and heat styled - just like your natural locks!
How do I choose the right shade for me?
Get ready to meet your match!
When looking for your Locks & Mane shade, always reference the ends of your hair for a seamless blend. Even undyed locks contain several variations and are often lighter towards the end from sunlight exposure or natural damage like dryness or breakage. Changing your color? All Locks & Mane extension products can be dyed, toned or color shampooed to perfectly match your new hue. Bleaching any extension is highly discouraged as the extension cuticle is pre-processed and more susceptible to damage.

How often should I wash my extensions?
Just like your natural hair, when to wash your extensions is a matter of personal preference! Since extensions do not directly receive oils from your scalp like your locks do, they probably only need to be washed every 6-8 weeks, depending on your usage. When the extensions start to feel dry, it’s probably time for a wash. If your clips are feeling constantly dry even after conditioning, it could be time for a new set!
How long does my hair need to be to install my clip ins?
We recommend at least chin length locks as a good starting point for our clip-ins. That said, in our years we have seen some incredible L&M transformations, especially for our Mane Babes who layer their clip-ins with the help of their stylist! For thick hair or blunt ends, we suggest ordering two sets of extensions to achieve a seamless blend.
